I'm just curious, is there a web-hosting billing software recommended for a windows platform? Something that handles automated re-curring billing and specifically for web hosting?
Any ideas or suggestions would be great. Thanks.

Try www.modernbill.com, it works fine on Windows. :)

Thank you. I'll check into it. I had heard of them, however, thought they were strictly *NIX platform.
Any others. or are they the best?

I host my modernbill on a Linux box, however I do have some clients using them on our Windows servers. Works fine :)

ksstudio, he asked for a billing solution. ModernBill isn't for billing. Check out this page (except for moderngigabyte, their software is a pretty front end to something other than billing):

Hi smueller,
no offence,
What SURGEADMIN asked:

We are using ModernBill and so do many other web hosts.
We use ModernBill as our shopping cart for web hosting plans, domain names, auto generates as well as manual generates Invoices for hosting plans.

ksstudio, you guys use modernbill for many customers? We've tested the latest versions extensively and had enough issues to have a real difficulty in calling this "billing software." Here are just some of the problems:
invoices are not created for the proper amounts some times (this one was pretty major!)
can't pay for multiple invoices at once
can't recharge declined credit cards
no billing for miscellaneous services
half the features cause major billing mistakes like coupons or package options
changing/upgrading/downgrading plans can cause big accounting mistakes
no domain management for people who sign up with domain names
customers can only order 1 item, otherwise confusing billing occurs
no way to give credits invoices due

Have a look at billvoice.com (http://billvoice.com)
This may do the trick, the guy behind it runs a successful hosting forum and is also a memeber here I think.

Wow, those are some serious shortcomings. You would think with its popularity it could handle all of the above easily. Anyone else see these types of problems with MB?
