I need to get a life 'cos I am spending way too much time in this forum!

I don't resell but I could do with a multiple domain package and yours look prety good to me - as I do not resell I appreciate your 'no overselling' policy. I also just want to add that your site looks professional and I like the fact that you took the trouble to add a forum to it (albeit only 7 posts so far :0)).

I only have one question, which is to ask whether you are operating dedicated servers or whether you are operating as resellers for another hosting company. Only reason for asking is that in the former case your 'no overselling' promise is a winner whereas in the latter case even if you don't oversell others will be.

Also, I noticed the following on your site -
Please Note: Although we state 'Unmetered Domains & Users' each Reseller Server will receive no more than 10 Accounts, this should ensure stable and fast responding servers - Should a server prove to show trends of being unstable accounts will be relocated to a more powerful machine.

Why don't you cut the contradiction and advertise as 'up to 10 domains'?

Thanks,

ChrisBowd

I looked at your network page - impressed that your ns1 and ns2 pas the DNSReport geographic separation test - not many hosts pass that one.

Assuming that you are running dedicated servers, how many reseller accounts do you plan on allowing per server?

ancilenet,

I'm confused... You posted this response a couple months ago in a thread announcing a similiar "Special" here on WHT, but the prices were around $20 / month with similiar options stating prices will never be that low again. Now they are $4?

We have had some questions through, asking why our prices are more expensive than others...

This is simply because we do not want to bog our servers down with cheap accounts that take up alot of system resources, as this leads to sites loading slowly, and other consiquent problems.

As a serious prospective client (hence why I did some research) - why the significant drop/change in business practices? Your accounts are affordable solutions for a backup system I am looking to implement. But with backups I need to ensure I can trust the host and ensure they are going to be around tomorrow.

Hi Chris,

We operate our own dedicated servers which are administerd by our own Staff - machines are located at ServerMatrix and EV1.

We will be launching a new range of hosting packages that will be available on UK based servers with UK bandwith, obviously the prices will be sigificantly different to our US based hosting.

With regards to '10 Accounts' - This should have now been changed as we are no longer running the 10GB/100GB specials.

In the case of 7.5GB/50GB we will allow no more than 20 Resellers Per *Machine*. - Again, this means you can host as many domains as your like up to your account limits.

Please excuse the error on our specials page, this should have been changed!

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

P.S. Thank you for your comments on our site - We have had the design several months, but you are the first to say its good! :)

Regards,

Stewart

Hi NST,

Initially when we did the first reseller special it was not going to be regular as we have an ample stream of standard hosting packages being purchased, however, it has since proven that Reseller Packages are far more popular than standard hosting, and as such we have decided to run regular specials.

In order to be competitive with other reseller hosts we have had no choice but to adjust our pricing accordingly.

Should you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact us.

Well, at least you guys are honest and have a realistic attitude to the forces of change sweeping across the Web hosting industry.

The only problem that I envisage for you is that your Rreseller plans make your standard shared hosting plans pretty redundant.

Thanks for the answers.

A simple question based on Maths:

You offer 5/35 for $7 and 7.5/50 for $14, why should any one go for $14 account, instead S/he can take two $7 account.

Am I missing anything here or I am asking a basic novice question?

hi harsha,

the simple answer is that you can't 'spread' a domain over 2 hosting accounts, i.e. if you estimate that you will eventually need 7.5Gb of space or 50Gb of bandwidth then you either need to sign-up for that account on day 1 or sign-up for a smaller account and then upgrade to the bigger account in the future.

You do raise an interesting point though which is that usually "the more you buy the less you pay" whereas in this instance it seems to be "the more you buy the more you pay".

can you give a test IP for the server you would put a $7 account on.

thanx

To some extent, you are correct. It would be interested to know the site that need more than 5 GB of space.

Also, this is a reseller account? If I have to offer accounts to people, I would be better of by having 2 5 GB accounts.

Just a food for thought:D

Remember though that you do not need to resell but could just use it for your own domain(s).

nice response times and I see that you stay good to your no overselling policy (59 sites and 21 sites respectively).

I just made a deal with turnkeyhosting and don't need any additional capacity just now but will keep you guys in mind for the future.

Good luck with the business.
