*I hope I am posting this on the right board*

A few weeks ago I asked if someone would be willing to make a logo for me. I ended up getting a couple replys. I eventually chose one, and the other peoples' logos that I didn't choose, understood, and went on their way. But one guy, goes by the name EULOGO on these forums, sent me a nasty email the other day. Here it is:

Hey .... You didn't answer me, why?
I suggest You to pey me my 70$ or You will suffer. I'm thinking about spaming Your e-mail adresses, hacking Your site, etc.

This is just a heads up to anyone that is thinking of using this guy for any type of work. I was not expecting such a rude email when I woke up this morning...:eek:I just want other potential clients to be aware of this guy.

Haha, I don't think you have anything to worry about. He's young and foolish.

Oh brother..how pathetic. That is why I like references along with portfolio/samples so I know I'm not dealing with just anyone because anyone could be anyone! :D

I hope you were able to find another designer to create your logo. :)

I really dont remember but i think this guy (Hellion) requested me to modify a logo someone did before he aproved it (and paid him), i said him i wasnt be able to do it for legal issues...

Lets see if Hellion reply my first question... what was the logo you wanted? Maybe i will remember.

P.S: Anyway i dont aprove the reply of Eulogo if its true.

Hey seriosuanez, the name was Skylancer. You did talk to me about a logo for that name.

Then this guy did the logo i saw?

This is the reason why i didnt want to modify any logo already done... specially because i knew the designer was not paid. You can buy it from him or not, but if you dont it you cant modify it to make your own logo... it would be a rip.

If you at last found someone to do it, i understand this guy is angry with you.

P.S again: Anyway i dont aprove the reply of Eulogo.

He has no reason to be angry with me. I clearly stated that I would only be choosing one design, from one person. If someone didn't like that, well then, they didn't have to send me a logo. Just like you didn't sergio. So he really had no reason to be mad, because I cleary stated that I would be picking the best one that I received.

Hellion, I think Sergio is saying that you wanted him to modify the other guy's logo so you could use it, but that if you hadn't paid the other guy it would be the same as ripping his work. I'm not saying this is what you were trying to do, I'm just trying to clarify the confusion here. :peace:

Sergio, I never asked that of you, at least what Gen-T said. You contacted me and asked to see what logos I had received thus far at the time. I guess you were curious as to the quality of work that I was receiving. I then asked you if you thought you could do a better job on making a logo. You said yes, but that you needed to be paid first. So after hearing you wanted to be paid first, I didn't give a second thought of using you sergio. When the heck did I ever ask you to rip some ones work? Thats right, I never did........................... I NEVER asked you to 'modify' someones work. Their would have been no point in that. If I liked one of the logos I received, I would just buy it. And if I wanted any part of the logo 'modified', it would make sense for me to ask the guy that made it, not you sergio. The only thing I ever asked you was, "can you make a better logo from the few that I showed you?" That was it. I'm not quite sure how you took that as, "can you modify one of the logos that I showed you before I pay the original guy that made it?" That's just retarted. At the time, I was just wondering if you could have done a better job. As of now, I could really care less. Ok, I'm done with my rant.

Calm down! Ever thought that maybe there might be a slight language barrier when communicating with Sergio? I'm sure he didn't mean it in the way that it was said as I believe Spanish is his native language.

You saw me the logo he did and i you asked: "could you make it with your colors?". ITS A MODIFICATION.

I said you i could make at the beginning but not macht this one and color it because i didnt make it... and someone could think its a rip.

And of course i charge a small % of the full work upfront. If this guy had charge this small % upfront now wouldnt be undermistakings... this money works like a contract.

My last comment in this thread.

All designers are known to take a small % up front, that is how it is done especially with a reputable designer. Everyone else are probably kids who work very cheap.

If what is stated is true, the asking of the logo colors to be modified, then there is no reason to be mad at Sergio.

I don't think this thread was meant to go this way so I think it's best if it's closed.
