Good Day,

Sorry that mercumaya.net is not my website and this is my friend server because he had ready a test file for testing the speed, so I just use it, but the speed will be as same as our server.

For the Test Ip is here: 202.71.103.2, Let me check on the servers and I will get back to you.

300 servers sharing 100mbit ?!

webtech

that means you have at most 1/3mbps at most if everyone uses every piece possible? That means that on a server you would get a max of 100gb bandwidth unless you use more than your neighbor?

XTStrike

unmetered changed to 100gb due to info from webtech.

XTStrike, he could be offering unmetered 100mbps ports shared between 300 servers but it would equate to 1/3mbps or about 100gb per server unless its really really oversold nad people start pushing more than that. just a note. WebHour.Net, do you have some type of bandwidth graphs or statement guaranteeing a certain amount of bandwidth on that 100mbps burstable port?

Sorry, thats not 300servers sharing 100mbits :) , sorry that didn't post it clearly :(

Well 300 servers currently sharing 155MBPS TMNET + 45MBPS EASTGATE (International bandwidth) and the current utilization at the most peak is only 48.5%.

Our un-metered option means that customer are not capped to use the bandwidth under the total bandwidth, and upgrades will be done if necessary (at most 75% ~ 80%).

For more details about the network, you can click on the link below:-
Netmyne Data Center (http://www.netmyne.com.my/server_host/network.asp) We are on Premium Link which located in Cyberjaya Data Center.

We have 9 X 100MBPS uplink port direct from the IDC router to our racks, so far we only used two.

ok so you have 200mbps of bandwidth for 300 servers but then you say you have 900mbps worth of uplink to router. Which is it? 900mbps or 200mbps? If its 900mbps your betting that no one will use more than 3mbps or 1000gb. If its 200mbps of bandwidth but 900mbps worth of uplink your betting that none of the 300 will use more than ~210gb per month

Hallo webtech,

Some of our customers are subscribed to a fixed amount of bandwidth and some are not. Our current promotions given customer a non-fixed non-capped bandwidth under total 155MBPS + 45MBPS bandwidth and each 1 X 100mbps from IDC router (CISCO 12000 series) are connected to our cisco 24port 10/100MBPS auto-negotiation switch.

IDC utilization at peak time is 45 ~ 55% and our utilization is only at 15 ~ 25%. the rest are fixed bandwidth customers. W are allocation a minimum of 30~ 50% of total available bandwidth to this promotion based customers and we are able to provide a test server for customer to test it themself for 3 days per customer. Customer are able to choose our service after they have tested the connectivity and the server.

You could expect a minimum of 800GB ~ 1500GB of total data transfer per server per month. 24 server per switch , one switch one uplink port and the whole datacentre has 300 servers running at this moment, we only host 100~150 of it.

Lastly, we let customer to test the connectivity first before they decide whether to host or not.

Thank you.
