Hello

Any help on this appreciated!

I have a banner on my webpage for site XXX. Everytime someone clicks on it I get $0.01. I am also supposed to get $$ if someone signs up with XXX (after they clicked on my banner.)

The banner uses a HTML link like:
http://www.mcash.com/cgi-bin/agents.cgi?website=XXX&memberid=my_id

This link redirects you to site XXX and tracks the click.

I understand how mcash keeps track of every click, but how do they know if the person who clicked on my banner signed up for site XXX? Especially if site XXX is not on the same server as mcash?

Any explanation or help greatly appreciated!

Thank you.

likely they have code in the thank you page that looks for a cookie thats stored on their computer, when it sees that cookie, you get the credit. So if the user that clicked on your link, has cookies turned off, you might not get credit...

anyways, thats how ours works :)

This got me to thinking.. Has anyone found a free affiliate program you can run on your server or one thats real cheap? I have seen some but they want hundreds or thousands for them.
