Hi,

I have just finished setting up a membership site and am looking for a reliable payment processor.

I'm looking for a payment provider that offers:
* no setup fee
* recurrent billing
* accept most credit cards
* low fees especially for international wire transfers
* worldwide availability

The providers that are already disqualified are paypal, stormpay, ikobo, worldpay, xlpay, orbitpay and it seems moneybookers.

Anybody with any ideas?

Regards,

jimo

Why is Moneybookers disqualified?

I think it fits for your requirements.

I dont think any other payment processor (with no setup fees)other than those've you've listed.

I can't seem to find any indication on moneybookers that they accept payments on the internet. The only links I see are for sending and receiving money and shopping with them.

Are you using them as a merchant?

www.2checkout.com - setup fee applys

You want it for free.. I am not sure what to say, business is not free in this world. If you want to "play with the big boys" you are gonna have to shell out some cash :). $50 setup is NOTHING when you look at the cost of a real merchant account. You may even find an account for sale here on WHT :)

Yes, email them for the details of Merchant Account. They are pretty good.

No, I dont have a merchant account with them. But they do open Merchant Accounts.

Nothing on their site says they let you accept visa directly, and if they did I don't think they would hide it 10 pages deep. They don't let you, so its time to move on :)

It looks to me however that the user would need an account, to add funds and then to send them to you. (And most users were gonna totally get lost unless they are used to doing stuff like this)

EDIT-->

"But they do open Merchant Accounts."
Well, in that case call them up :)

On Moneybookers home page - for web shops: merchant centre. maybe this will help to answer your question. But what type of membership? The reason it states to shop with them is to re-define their business plan & not make them a third party processor. 2CO basically does the same thing.

But if the others are disqualified, it makes me think it might be an adult site?

It's is a personal development site that I have setup.

And the other payment providers have actually disqualified themselves by not allowing you to add funds with a credit card, very small coverage area or not responding to questions that you pose to them.

You wanted to receive members payments?

Why do you want to fund your account?

I use PayPal, Moneybookers, Stormpay and E-gold.

Moneybookers is best for europeans.
You can add money to your account using credit card, except E-Gold.

I not only want to take payment, I also pay 66% referral fees which I want to be available as soon as possible to members.

Hello,

These I told you are widely used without setup fee.

PayPal is a must, because so many uses that.

Cheap wire transfer specially for international use there is not.

I know this guy in orbitpay.net, just used his service to transfer money to my PayPal account. I have also sold that script and installed it for him, nice fellow.

If you want to know more, feel free to email me

I don't think you are going to find all of the desired features and -also- get a free setup and low/no monthly costs.

Providing good support and service and value-adds costs money -and if a provider doesn't charge enough, it just won't be able to provide all of this to you.

BTW, is your system MLM-oriented? I could be completely incorrect in my assumption here but it sounds like you are wanting to build a sort of "downline" for referrals. That may be a problem for some processors but not for others.

Mlm is mulit level, mine is just one leve. You refer people and for every person you refer you get paid, not once but over and over as long as the person is subscribed.

What I'm looking for is standard feautures that most payment processors should have. Some say they have it, it's just that they are disabled for one or other reason. for example Ikobo doesn't have subscriptions yet, so they say. And they also don't accept mastercard, because of socalled technical difficulties.

What I'm looking for is not really out of the ordinary. its just standard stuff for a membership site. The wire transfer fees is more for the benefit of my customers/members who are international and would like to have their money wired to them for a reasonable fee.

Well, you could code the affiliate tracking portion and handle the commission disbursements on your own - and use pretty much any system on the front-end to process your payments.

In other words, you could use a 2CO or PayPal to collect the funds and then your local bank to wire the net amounts to your customers. Perhaps you could work out a low wire xfer fee with one of the banks in your area?
