What.

It seams that f2s.com stops with their free hosting plan, and we get kicked off the servers  That's the rumours I've heared so far. I just started up my website, and it's beginning to start rolling!

Now the practical part.

What kind of trouble could I run into when moving a website?
Where can I move to?
I need Perl 5.005, cgi-bin, ssi, email, 25MB, + downloads.
Is there something good and free? (don't thing so)
What payed host can I use otherwise? (maybe even with domain name)
are there other alternatives (self-hosting?)

f2s.com still free and your site is still running.

f2s sent out emails stating free hosting will last until the end of Feb. The free accounts will be wiped out, but ppl have the option to move up to the pay accounts.

Yep, that's right. Not that I'm happy about that.

I knew free has it's reasons, and so on.

However, I accepted that f2s isn't so fast, lacks support.
I don't want to pay for that. There are better payd hosts, but I can't find them.

Who knows some for me?
Currently my website uses these functions:
- html, javascript, images off course
- personal cgi-bin
- sendmail or Net::SMTP, in other words a smtp relayhost
- SSI
- downloads (maybe from an other location?)

:bawling:  :(

I didn't get an email, but the unofficial support site seems to confirm the info:

Thanks, althought that's the location I got that info from. :stickout:

Now, I don't thing free is really an option anymore. I'll look at free.prohosting.com.

Are there any other payed hosts where I can put my site, or is there a other cheap, but acceptable, construction to get my website online?

There are lots of paid hosts that will host your site for a competitive price. Check the special offers forum (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/forumdisplay.php?s=&forumid=4) to see various specials that hosts are currently running.
