Hello,

I just purchased a server from ServerMatrix and it has cPanel/WHM installed on it. All I want to do is have it so that all my domains have ns1.myotherdomain.com as their nameserver. How can I do this? (I am a complete newbie) Also, do I need more than one IP address? For some reason, I only have 1 IP Address... Do I need to request more from server matrix? (I am suppose to have 5)

All your help is appreciated

1) Add these nameserver records to your domain registry with IP's of your server.
2) Assign IP addresses for nameservers in your server. (in edit setup menu)
3) Add A Records to ns1.myotherdomain.com, where that domain is hosted.

If you want to host that domain in the same server too, point it out to new NS and add A records from Edit Setup Menu as well.

Here is some information about my server that might be relevant:

My nameserver it turned on... It is bind, I believe.

My server IP is 67.18.156.178

When I go to " Manage Nameserver IPs " it just says "Updating records for ip 67.18.156.178..... Done" and lists no IP or nameserver

Under "Modify Resolver Configuration " the primary resolver is localhost ("127.0.0.1") and there is no secondary resolver.

When I go to "Establish a Trust Relationship with a Primary Nameserver" it says "This function is handled automaticlly since dns clustering is enabled. There is no need to set it up. "

What is a Trust Relationship with a Primary Nameserver?

Thanks! I will try to do that right now.

Lists no Ip or nameserver because you have not set them up through edit setup menu i think.

Hmmm.... Do you know of an article that explains this?

Here is a handy how-to for that:

You may try online cPanel documentations too.
