Hi WHT members,

I'm a canadian resident and i want to start an online business. I've made the desing for my webpages (www.multi-teknik.ca/head.htm). The only thing missing is the shopping cart.

I have $2000.00CAD (approx. $1500.00USD) to spend on a shopping cart.

I've looked around and the only decent SC (shopping cart) that i found is www.storefront.net. This company would install the SC, integrate my webdesign the way i want for $2000.00CAD

http://www.storefront.net/solutions/int/grid.asp ( i choosed the Advance edition ) Show the options of this SC.

Do you know any other companies that would provide the same options for less ?

QuickBooks Integration is very important.

Have you checked out www.vpasp.com or www.spidersales.com? Spidersales will help integrate whatever is not there & I think VP-ASP already has a function built-in: http://www.vpasp.com/virtprog/vpasptechnical.htm

Contact Spider Sales also. They should be able to help integrate what you need into their cart. VP-ASP only offers the suppliers - not too sure if that will suffice or not.

I can speak with a good bit of knowledge on this subject, and I would suggest to stay away from StoreFront.net period.

I worked for over 4 years at a hosting company that used StoreFront as its primary ecommerce offering, and there are numerous other packages out there that work MUCH better than StoreFront. I have experience with the .Net version, StoreFront 5.0, & StoreFront 2000.

What StoreFront offers on its site, the final product is far from what the end user expects. Actually one of the main reasons that the company started offering design and development in house was because their latest version was so buggy and hard to develop with, that many of their partners started suggesting other ecommerce platforms which were much easier to use and ran much better.

As far as an ASP ecommerce solution, I would suggest EcommerceTemplates.com. Don't let the low price fool you, as I have created numerous sites using this software and it is by far the easiest to develop with. You can either choose a generic template and build your store using that, or basically strip their template out of the sites pages and add your own custom design very easily.

Once again, is it able to work with Quickbooks. Would i be able to upload files from the website directly into Quickbooks that way i don't have to waist my time by entering manually all the purchase made on the website.

I've used spidersales before and it was pretty solid.

I was really leaning towards Storefront.net until I read your post...it seems like it is the only ASP.NET cart out there with decent features and credibility. I like that they have phone, chat, and community support. Spidersales, dotnetcart, ablecommerce, they just don't seem to be as good. Am I wrong?

What about http://www.aspdotnetstorefront.com ???

They are less expensive.

Forgot about that one...they look good to but dont have a phone number, chat, or forum...guess it doesnt matter that much if they answer their emails quickly.

They do answer the e-mail very quick.

So you chose them instead of Storefront?

they are a lot cheaper then Storefront. I've tested their shopping cart and it's easy to run and you have a lot of options. I heard a lot of bad comments about Storefront. They have good service even though it still only by e-mails.
