Well i was thinking of moving the clients from *****'s servers and onto our own. I was planning on putting them on cpanel but once i got into moveing 1 domain i realized it was going to be more difficult than i expected. And the reason is because of your ****ty organization and pre-installed scripts. It makes it very difficult to tell whats what and was wondering if anybody has ever done a big move like this before from them. How'd you do it? I'm looking for all the info i could possibly find. I dont want pissed off customers.

Also this is not a small move. Their are alot of customers on these servers....

The best possible thing you can do to learn about a server migration is go to http://support.cpanel.net Search for "moving" Or "Transferring". There are some users there that posted very informative information on how to keep all CPANEL files/configuration in tact when moving clients.

As a person that has done this before, and hated it, I think your biggest problem will be DNS/IP's, as long as you get the CPANEL stuff moved over correctly.

Hope this is of some help. :)

nooo..... if i was just moving for a original cpanel server to another this would be cake. But the problem is that i'm moving from one control panel to another. ***** has their own control panel...

Dns and ip's is the easy part... i allready have scripts i wrote for adding mass zones easily.
