Whenever I ftp into my account, it pauses for a few seconds at the message below. When I ftp into another account on another server, it passes by the below message really fast.

Do you know what's the problem, and how could I fix it to make it get the welcome message faster? :cool:

It seems that your dns resolver (client) on that box is not set up properly.

simply set /etc/resolv.conf using nameserver line to point to *another* dns server that you know works, while you fix the local one if you have one.
