Got a complaint a couple of days ago from a retail customer about pop-up ads appearing in his framed redirects. Sure enough, enom is placing pop-up code in a hidden frame within the frame set.
I put in a support ticket and was given an apology and asked for my account id. I gave it and asked if they would disable the pop-ups for all my retail customers. The answer came back NO. I would have to give them the userids of the retail sub-accounts I wanted it disabled on.
I must admit I am gob-smacked. Does anyone have any more information on this recent practice of enom?
Thanks

Now is the time to dump those so-called "free features" by the registrars. Who will need them anyway when your hosts should provide things like additional domain and e-mail forwarding AT NO EXTRA COST?

Many people still use the free space their ISPs give them. Not many ISPs I know will let you use their nameservers.

Enom has done this in the past. If you do want the popups go with another DNS provider like zoneedit

Now is the time to dump Sleezy Enom , they are totally unreliable and do just about anything to make the extra buck.
I am still pissed at them for suddenly adding hosting in to my control panel. My customers were so confused.
This is the exact reason that i like Directi.com. They have always been so open and transparent in their processes. They charge a very tiny fee for domain forwarding , mail forwarding and managed dns (unlike tucows who charges $6 for managed dns). And - since i am paying for the forwarding service at Directi - i am certain that they wont suddenly add advertisements.
