must work with linux RH9.0.

many thanx.

please dont post me control panels that are $200 per licence i would only like basic functions rest can be controlled using rcon and ftp.

ive tryed looking around here for about 3 hours and couldnt find anything that i was interested in so could somone suggest somthing?

I have written a couple of how-tos on one of my sites - www.gameservernews.com that would help you on that. Gives you a complete walkthrough on setting up webmin on your linux server for doing that.

wow i cant get over how helpful that has been. some gr8 stuff, when looking at it i just thought it would tell me how to install the HLDS but no it actually tells you how to install webmin too such a gr8 place to visit ill be certainly sending people to that site, keep up the gr8 work!

nice work, and yes that would be kool if you did.

however ive got another small problem i need help with if anyone could help me that would be much appricated :D

and that is a bandwidth monitor, i need somthing to monitor the bandwidth being used, i dont mean mrtg cause there just charts i need something that would tell me in words how much bandwidth is being used e.g. 800mb/10000gb etc.

please dont post links to control panels as i will be using webmin from them gr8 tutorials. (its a shame webmin dont come with bandwidth monitoring) :(

You have some very impressive tutorials there my friend!

Thanks for putting in the time to write them all, they have helped me learn a great deal about this business.

Wow, I have to agree with CybexHost, those are pretty good tutorials, they certainly helped me a lot since I'm just setting up a game server for private use.

Thanks man.

Despite the fact that the site is in shambles, the control panel does look promising.

all i need is like a script or somthing to tell me the about of bandwidth used in that day etc so i can monitor it.

something like uglygs you might need to google to find a link cause the main site seems to be down.

Uglygs is a great tool, wish it were still under development. It does not show bandwidth usage though. It does show how many players were on, at what times, and what days of the week.

I really need a bandiwdth monitoring tool, ive already got software and monitoring tools that tell me who is on the server etc.

im sure its justa peace of code that can do a lookup feature to see how much bandwidth used. somone must know somthing that can help me :-(

You might wanna look into integrating something like cisco's netflow or use iptraf to get the details out of your linux boxes if you don't have cisco routers at your disposal. We also use other network monitoring devices monitoring actual transfer realtime per network port. These appliances were over $5K each so probably out of the question for most ppl.

judging by what was written before, i suspect netflow is out of the question..

flumps do you have root access to the machine your games are running on?

you could get some pcap based tool (and it wouldnt be *that* hard to write) that would give you your needed info
