Quill 12-04-2001, 07:07 AM I haven't been to Disneyland, is it great? :D
Frosty 12-04-2001, 01:15 PM Quill,
They are talking about Disney World...not Disney Land. There is a huge difference.
And DisneyWolrd absolutley sucks! They have absolutely NO roller coasters what so ever. They have like 2 small coatser and that`s it. And they charge you 80 bucks to visit each section of the park.
Six Flags Magic Mountain is a billion times better.

$80?? Since when? Its $48 a whole day per park (http://disneyworld.disney.go.com/waltdisneyworld/reservations/tickets/tickettypeindex?id=TKTOneDayParkTktType)
And its cheaper if you live in Florida....
Or you can get the Park Hopper pass and go to any of the 4 parks for 4 days for only $192.00 - 5 days is $217.00
Frosty 12-04-2001, 02:20 PM I live in Florida.
When i went to Disney with my mom last year i remembered there being like 8 different sections in the park...but in order to visit each section you had to pay 80 for each one. Guess i remeber the price wrong.
But it still sucks....i thought Disney Worl was a nice huge theme park full of coasters...but nope they don`t so they suck.
:D :(

Er, I think corporate Disney's marketing department is a bit too high-strung. It's actually Walt Disney's 100th birthday. The business part didn't come until the late '20s or early '30s, and DisneyLand came into being much later.

Actually Disney World is the true THEME park... In the Magic kingdom, each section has their own THEME.
Now if you want to go to a great park with roller coasters, go to Cedar Point (http://www.cedarpoint.com) in Sandusky, Ohio. And if only cost $23 to get in.
They have the world's tallest rollar coaster -- 310ft, Longest drop -- 300ft, Most roller coasters in one park --14, Fastest Rollar coaster -- 95mph, and has the most rides -- 68 all together.
I've been there just about every summer at least 2 times - from the time I was 10 until I was 19.
If you want roller coasters, go there... :)

Yes, 100 years ago, Walt Disney was born...
Frosty 12-04-2001, 02:48 PM Yah i want roller coasters! :D
Disney World is boring.....no good coatsers there at all....just some idiot dressed up as Mickey Mouse walking around.
Six Flasg Magic Mountain in Los Angelos is awsome for coaster too.

Ok. Disney World is the whole area. It's huge. There's 8 different PARKS, not 8 different SECTIONS. Each park is its own entity. For instance, Magic Kingdom, one of the parks, is the equivalent of Disneyland in California. Then there's Epcot (the big ball), Animal Kingdon, etc.
The admission to each is ~$40. But since each one is basically a separate theme park...
Each park has its own sections as well, but once you're in the park the sections are all free.
Frosty 12-04-2001, 05:46 PM No $#@ :stickout
By saying 8 different sections...i WAS meaning 8 different parks.
Same differece.
And it`s a ripoff having to pay to get into each one. They should at least have some decent coasters.
acidHL 12-04-2001, 06:09 PM Disney is for the little kids, there are not alot of toddlers that like rollercoasters.
If you want rollercoasters go to universal islands of adventrue :P

IGobyTerry 12-04-2001, 08:10 PM hehe I go to Cedar Point every year considering I like live 3 hours away from it. I think it's $35 to get in now, but I might be wrong considering my parents pay for me. They have some great roller coasters there and keep adding new ones each year. This year they are adding one called Wicked Twister or something like that. My warning though is to prepare to be thrown around on the mean streak as it's one of those wooden coasters, and be prepared to get bugs in your teeth if you ride the in the first car of the Millenium force. Well That's enough rambling for me... BTW I actually like Six Flags in Aurora, Ohio better, but that may just be me.
Frosty 12-04-2001, 08:18 PM Never been to the Six Flags in Ohio. But i used to sneak into the one in LA all the time...did it at least 40 times and never got caught. Your lucky...you live close to a good theme park :(

What did you expect? That's funny you got jinxed.
Either way what are they supposed to make?
Keep in mind they have Space Mountain (which is my favorite of all time).
Aloha
some 20 years ago I was in disney world watched the space mountain roller coaster disrail in the blue tunnel thing we were about 3 groups back and waiting we heard it crash all the lights went on and we ran to the monitors in the room to try to see what was up was pretty wild
we got on about 4 hours later ;)
