Which is better, what do you suggest?
![]() | View Full Version : clook or httpme sunshines 05-30-2004, 10:56 AM Which is better, what do you suggest? artvision 05-30-2004, 11:12 AM I can't tell you anything about httpme (but I heard many good words about them), in return I can tell you with full certitude, that clook team works very professionally. markcastle 05-30-2004, 11:31 AM Both are very well respected and popular companies. Matt (HTTPme CEO) has his head screwed on business wise, and you still have the huge benefit of Aussie Bobs experience behind that company too. mrzippy 05-30-2004, 01:34 PM Originally posted by markcastle Both are very well respected and popular companies. Take a look at the announcement forums at httpme, and you'll quickly realize they are outstanding in this area. Honest, quick, and consistant communication all around. :) IGobyTerry 05-30-2004, 03:05 PM If you go with either Clook or HTTPMe you'll be in good hands. Jim and the rest of the crew at Clook know what they're doing as well as Matt and his crew at HTTPMe. The only deciding factor that I could possibly think of is that HTTPMe is at NAC exclusively while Clook has servers at a number of different datacenters (Peer1, GNAX, RedBus, SerVINT and NAC). All of the datacenters used by both HTTPMe and Clook are top notch places. mrzippy 05-30-2004, 03:08 PM Originally posted by inogenius The only deciding factor that I could possibly think of is that HTTPMe is at NAC exclusively while Clook has servers at a number of different datacenters (Peer1, GNAX, RedBus, SerVINT and NAC). I'm not sure if this would be a deciding factor, unless the thread poster is planning to have multiple reseller accounts.. ;) IGobyTerry 05-30-2004, 03:15 PM Originally posted by mrzippy I'm not sure if this would be a deciding factor, unless the thread poster is planning to have multiple reseller accounts.. ;) Well, it could be a personal preference thing. If the poster is from the UK and targets the local market, obviously RedBus is going to be a little quicker and faster for most of the customers. Not to say that any of the other datacenters don't have superior international connectivity, as they do, but Redbus would perform a little better. huhwhut 05-30-2004, 11:49 PM I can say that I've been with httpme for over a year now and have had no troubles. What I like the most is the communication they give when things do happen. If the server I'm on has a trouble I know about it and that they are working on it, where with my previous host(s) my sites would be down for hours/days before I could get a response. Also the .COMmunity is a great help. I would recommend them to anyone looking for quality hosting. Senthu@BM 05-31-2004, 07:58 AM I am using HTTPme for 7 months now and very satisfied with them. JenniH 06-05-2004, 07:32 AM We have a Clook account, and it's been good. Httpme have a good reputation here too of course. Both seem to be good, so prioritise your own needs and then compare. Carnifex 06-05-2004, 08:56 AM Im more than happy with my clook account. they have just upgraded the server they use for shared hosting packages if thats the kind of hosting your looking for. PogiWeb 06-07-2004, 01:27 AM Clook is first class in all that it offers. |
