I'm looking to launch a UK based website in a few months and wanted to know which is the best 3rd party processor to go through. A few months ago Paysystems was recommended but I believe they are no longer accepting non-merchant accounts.
I want my website prices to be displayed in £ (which I believe isn't a feature in 2CO). What are my alternatives? Your help is much appreciated.

I switched to Worldpay. The system is very resiliant, once you pay the hefty setup fees and actually get the site live.
The high setup fees put me off plus the annual recurring payment. Looking for a cheap alternative ideally.
Any other suggestions would be very welcome...

protx (or something similiar), from memory, it's something like £20 per month for upto 1000 transactions, or 10p per transaction & no monthly for > 1000.
I've only used as a customer (the place I buy my inkjet refils from uses them).
Do a Google and I'm sure it'll pop up, that's how I found them.

Yes its http://www.protx.com but you will need your own Internet Merchant Account from your bank to use them. They do not provide one for you like Worldpay do.
Yeah I've heard of Protx but I'm looking for a 3rd party processor. Getting a merchant account in this country isn't really an option for a new startup.

How about moneybookers? or simply use Paypal if you are not looking for big transactions.
I think some others might have used 2checkout.

WorldPay. Have used them for years and you get what you pay for :)
Cheers,
Rob.
