One Web 12-01-2001, 11:01 PM Wow 100% who ever said 100% must have a great site. well unless they only gets one visitor and that visitor turned into a customer One Web 12-01-2001, 11:10 PM oops made a mistake on the poll <50% should have been <1% can a mod change that for me please? Thanks netsolutions 12-02-2001, 12:59 AM 100%? That person is obviously mistaken! LiveTronix 12-02-2001, 04:22 AM ah... if only it was 1% for me i'd be loaded. qslack 12-02-2001, 04:42 AM Originally posted by netsolutions 100%? That person is obviously mistaken! My guess is that people who wanted to see the results but didn't want to vote (or couldn't vote, if they weren't a host) clicked 100% because they didn't see the "View Results" link. Maybe if that was a bit more prominent we'd get less obviously incorrect votes like these. Just my theory... MCHost-Marc 12-02-2001, 05:07 AM Between 2-5% of the daily surfers :) One Web 12-02-2001, 06:05 AM kiwi do you think that your site's design has anything to do with your high numbers? Bogdan 12-02-2001, 06:22 AM It depends on what kind of traffic your receive. You can get 10,000 visitors from some porn site and 0 will sign up, or you can get 100 visitors from hostsearch and 50 will sign up. I usually use targeted avertising. Don't waist your money on traffic that will not bring you sales. dutchie 12-02-2001, 08:55 AM kiwi do you think that your site's design has anything to do with your high numbers? Well don't you ? If you sell cheap hosting, from a site that looks like a 12 year old played with you copy of frontpage, i doubt you will get a lot customers. If on the other hand your site look professional, like some big firm is behind it, you win the trust of your potential clients. I could be mistaken, and ofcourse design is just one of the many things that should be right. avara 12-02-2001, 11:35 AM Between 1 and 5% here. Our site needs a redesign... Craig 12-02-2001, 12:04 PM Originally posted by one_web kiwi do you think that your site's design has anything to do with your high numbers? well - i know this question was not directed to me but since our redesign it has generated more signups. I think design does play a big part, its a first impression of the company. Just my thoughts :) Craig |
