Okie...if DedNow is being desparate to have my post shutdown and removed because of nightmare public relations, they deserve it. But this board is supposed to be about discussions and facts and since this forum is removing the posts, I find it very distasteful of WHT of this discussion since all DedNow customer need to be well aware of this fact.

Hell this may even be a nice change, would it have hurt them to let people know this? They are supposed to announce tomorrow, thats great, that means we have less than 24hrs to tell our customers. You think they will be happy?
If we had a week we could have informed them and talked it up alot saying how much better this is going to be.
Now its a Yes you will have approx 6hrs of downtime TOMORROW hopefully you dont have any presentations or actual business to conduct, cause well... you cant.

Without mentioning any names or thread titles, why is it that a major datacenter who has an upcoming move scheduled (from one DC to another) is having any thread that wants to discuss this at "web hosting TALK" being removed? This information is not a trade secret, and is widely being discussed on other forums around the web.

I understand removing threads that are offensive, untrue, secret information, etc... but stopping anyone from even discussing such a public issue (as it is already in the public) seems quite drastic, and seems contrary to the purpose of the forum.

Feedback?

ok, seems one of the threads has been moved to another forum. Just saw 3 threads disappear earlier, and that raised an eyebrow...still would like to hear feedback from WHT admins if there is in fact a reason for all of this...

Yes..that is correct. I like to know why they removed it since it is a fact and if DedNow complained about it and have it removed, then they are going to be in much bigger public relations nightmare than they have started with.

That said, I have placed a link to their forum on this topic:

http://forums.dedicatednow.com/showthread.php?p=18365#post18365

So..that will give them something to read and discuss on this.

Seems DedicatedNow got wise and removed the post on their forum. So I am redirecting this to here:

Since DedNow have pressured WTH to remove it, I have put up the post at different forum for people to read, which is here.

We are not pressured by anyone. When we remove posts, it is because they are breaking the rules. It is possible it was moved elsewhere? Maybe into the Downtime Forum...

Could it be that a thread similar already exists? If you are interested in finding out what happened, you would get a better response by opening a trouble ticket.

The WHT Leaders will sort this mess out. Best the Liaisons maintain silence and not do anymore damage, imo.

That your posts would be removed as they, at this point, are unconfirmed rumor. While they may turn out to be factual, if I were a moderator, I would remove them until I could confirm a move is taking place. So far that has not been confirmed by anyone in any official capacity with PWeb.

Please be advised that there are rumors that our company is planning to move locations in the immediate future. There have been no definitive plans at this time in which to inform our clientele. In the fairness of responsible planning, no information has been made public as no firm dates have been set. The Executive Management of our organization is currently discussing all options for positive growth and reliability for our clients as well as us. We will update our clientele immediately if and when any announcement of a change of venue is forth coming.

Sincerely,

Rochen

I have no idea why these posts were removed. However, we have had a roundtable administration discussion between Community Leaders on this and all of the removed posts have been restored and merged into one thread.

Please see: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=277276

We are investigating why these posts were removed.

Thank you :)

That was precisely what happened. Now the post has been restored.
