Oh what a nightmare, I have a domain name that I transferred from UK2 to UKREG, I have never had a problem with UKREG and never needed to contact them so I transferred the domain to them, bad move.
Since the transfer I cannot use their online control panel to alter the IPS tag or DNS settings? I have tried to contact them by fax, post and online no word of a lie around 40 times!! Still no replies.
Is there any other options available to me? Can I go to an ombudsman or someone who can 'by-pass' UKREG?
I really need the domain configured, it's not mine really and the cutomer is having a benny over this.
Please can someone help me here, i'm absolutely all out :(
Thank you in advance.

Can you transfer it out? You don't need access to your controlpanel for that. Find a new registrar (the old one?) and start a transfer.

Give fasthosts a phone and they can pass the message on to the UKReg team.

Uhm... DO NOT DO THIS!!!
If you are going to phone, I'd strongly recommend you send a letter by registered mail to UKReg first, stating quite clearly that because they are not responding to your repeated emails and faxes that you will be contacting them by telephone and "will not accept ANY charges as stated in their customer policy"...
If you don't do that you, can fully expect a charge of £100 to be levied against your account.
Be very careful with UKReg, a lot of people have been stung by the "phone charge " clause.

WOW! Thanks dude!
I have still heared nothing from them :( I have contacted NOMINET to see if they can help. I read on the UK2 website that NOMINET will assist in changing TAGS if you get no reply from the holder of your domain? Does this sound right?
I have emailed them anyway and hopefully I'll hear back soon (finger crossed).
Thanks again guys, much appreciated.

This is probably the easiest thing you can do... Nominet will probably already have a file a mile thick on UKReg.
That said, you might want to try setting up an account with http://www.123-reg.co.uk and try and do a transfer from UKReg.
To be honest though I'm not convinced that it'll work properly as usually you need to change the IP Tag and that needs to be done through your UKReg control panel.
Either way... Good luck :)
