I'm developing a sports section for my website. As part of this I would very much like to unclude automatically updated news headlines from a number of related sites, which then hyperlink to the relevant article from which the headline came.

Does anyone know how to do this? I'm proficient at html, but novice at all other languages. Is there any software you can get to make this simple, or any scripts I could copy. I was considering using something like moreover.com, but I don't think it looks to professional, and I would like to choose the specific site where I can get the headlines.

I don't think Moreover news looks unprofessional, I see it on a good few Incubator sites and god knows they have enough money. However I can see your point, I want automatic F1 news headlines on something I'm working on but I can't find anything that doesn't include NASCAR. Moreover does a NewsBlogger service but you have to pick each news story manually.

If your looking real time updation, you could use Java Applets otherwise PHP would do the trick for you.
