Has anyone ever had experience with this company? They sell all their 100+ scripts for $299, some of the scripts seem to be very useful, and the company also seems to be pretty big.

What kind of scripts do they offer?

A whole bunch of different scripts, one interesting script, "AUTONIC" registers domains right when they expire (although probably no match for places like snapnames.com) using cronjobs or something. And a whole bunch of other scripts that seem to be very useful, I'm probably gonna get download access to the site sometime, they have some very interesting scripts..

Any other web hosting scripts?

I was interested in a few of their scripts once. I did a search on 'super scripts reviews' or something similar and read some very disturbing posts regarding fraud and people never getting the product. I'd say stay away from them.

I was a subscriber to them and used some of the scripts, some are actually very good. But, then all of a sudden my lifetime membership to the scripts and upgrades was revoked with the "new" version of his site. So get out or pay the lifetime membership again, so to he** with it.

Get someone to code your scripts or search for what you need elsewhere, like hotscripts etc. But stay away from this place.

Regardless, I wouldn't touch him or his business again. But today the Internet is full of the "get rich quick" guys. To bad because he has some good scripts but a business ethic that sucks.

Yeah I heard that from a lot of people, I guess his defense was that the "lifetime membership" was to "version 1.0" of the site... even though his site simply said "lifetime membership". Basically he revoked them and took a "tough luck" attitude about it.

Drew Star has a reputation for being an a**, and thinks he's God's gift to programming. I contacted them for an installation once and got an OUTRAGOUS quote back. Custom programming quotes follow suit, and if I remember correctly they charge for any form of decent support.

It turns out that the only reason I couldn't get the script installed myself was because his documentation was wrong. When I asked him about it, he seemed offended that I would even suggest that he had made a mistake. It turned out that I was right.

I can't complain much because my membership was free (until of course he revoked all paid and free memberships without warning)... at the time I made a deal with him for membership in exchange for banner ads...

I'm not going to tell you to stay away from them because the way this guy is he'll probably try to sue me for slander... but that's my experience/opinion take it or leave it.

I HAVE DEALT WITH SUPERSCRIPTS! I HAVE ALSO BEEN RIPPED OFF BY THEM! SO BEWARE!

On 11/10/01 I received an offer to become a lifetime member for an astoundingly low price of only $49.99.

So, I bit... I sent them $49.99 through paypal.

I needed one script in particular, so I downloaded it and some of the others while I was there the first day. I didn't need the scripts till I had a new domain set up so after I got it I went to install the script and IT DIDN'T RUN. Not because it wasn't installed right, but because it wasn't written right. I went to superscRIPts.com and sure enough there was a patch for it.

BUT, when I tried to download the patch, I entered my membership info and was told I wasn't a member...

This was 1/5/02

I thought this was due to something like their database having a problem or something like that, so I emailed them saying I was told I wasn't a member (I even replied to the confirmation letter they sent me when i signed up with my user name and password when I emailed them, so they could see I WAS supposed to be a member)

After about a day, I get a reply that says "No user name, no support", only they didn't go to the trouble to capitalize or add punctuation...

I replied AGAIN, saying I was a member, with a very detailed explaination of how I paid and got another message back saying "I'll see".

After that, I got a message back saying I only paid $29.99... (sheesh) and I needed to pay the other $20..

I PAID $49.99, just like they requested, in full and on time.

So, I sent ANOTHER email saying that was incorrect and even went as far as to include screen caps of the paypal transaction, the transaction number and a copy of the message they sent me saying "Your $49.99 has been accepted"

Amazingly, I got another email, that said "um - you paid for 2001 membership, it's now 2002"...

I was about as hacked off as I could get by now... THEIR SITE DOESN'T EVEN SELL ANNUAL MEMBERSHIPS!!!! ALL THEY SELL ARE LIFETIME MEMBERSHIPS.

So, I reply again, saying that's not right either, and even if it were, I only would have received 7 weeks for my "annual" membership. days go by and I email them some more asking if they've cleared it up yet, and get no response until I finally get one saying "The site's having problems. Drew will be back Tuesday".

Now, it's Sunday, and I haven't received any response from the messages I've sent since then.

Now, I just have to assume I've been ripped off. I know that at least I've received the worst treatment and zero support of any company I've ever dealt with.

So, before you lay out your money, look for someone else...

If I can't get what I paid for and I can't get my money back at least I can maybe keep someone else from getting shafted.

If you really want decent programming AND service, I have used perlcoders.com for 2 years and can say I am very pleased with both their products and service. Dont get swindled by others. The perlcoders truth page someone above posted is a great referance about a certain crook.

superscripts have not released even 60 of their own scripts that I am aware of. They have however stolen other peoples scripts and released them.

It's probably been done. The guy's a prime example of an internet rip-off scheme. He has all that Jeses stuff on his site, but his CD's on mp3.com look more goth than anything else.

Hi All,
Recently a post was made in a popular internet Marketing Forum about SuperScripts and a small group from that forum got together.

Out of there are approx. 20 folks who have been ripped off. Some bought memberships @ the $299 price some bought at anywhere from $29 to $49 from mailings similar to the one in this thread.

As you'll notice from that message the terms were "for Life" ... now it appears the "Lifetime" of that offer was 2-3 months.

I have seen all his scripts floating around the internet (the whole package!) and I wouldn't touch them even if I would get money with it.

I don't consider the packages floating around as pirated since most of the scripts they sell are stolen from others and free ones.

We purchased one of his scripts. I found that the code was totally unworkable. I have since redone most of his coding.

Prior to my deciding the best thing was to totally redo the thing, I contacted him for support. Here is his reply:

"I told you that is not my code dumb****\\

all we released was a betaa]]"

I then told him we had bought the damn thing from him and he replied:

"yea, we released a bunch of ****ed up code to warez sites
so we could take over sites, backdoor them
steal traffic, etc

ssleay is so far beyond 99.99999% of anyone onlines abities we shouldnt have even released it
