I've just got a windows server with helm, installed php MySQL etc and got helm so that i can add mysql databses. When you add the database the connection details field say to contact administrator.

What i want to know is how that works? do they need to be added to MySQL as a user? do they use the root login or what?
I followed the install details on the helm website but it doesnt cover that.

You must modify the users permission so that connection to data base is allowed from any host (%). Then MySQL will work with HELM.

If the database and users are added by Helm then your set-up is correct. The Connection Info is a free text field you can fill in to let your customers know how to connect to their MySQL Database

In Helm go to

System Settings > Servers > servername > MySQL Service

Then inthe Connection Info box enter detaisl of how a customer woudl connect to their MySQL database such as IP and port.
