Why was that thread deleted? The thread regarding the new control panel that will be released by VDI?

Yes, I am too was wonderring/pissed when it was gone ... Not sure why ... I can't seem to relocate the PDF file that was included in the thread. Perharps anybody that has a chance to look at it can post it here?

Anyway ... can the mod explain why the whole thread was deleted?

Rather then a thread completely dissappering (as seen in the past) maybe its wise for WHT to prune the thread and alter the intial thread to give an explaintion.

Its rather upsetting to see a thread just dissapper without even an explantion why.

I recieved a polite email from mods stating that the thread was removed. I would have to wait 90 days to post in cpanel related thread.

Ahh ... I think the mods want you to put in on the advertising forum? But even if you have mistakenly put it on a non-advertising forum (and the mods think it's a form of self-advertising), they can just easily move it to a right forum ... Why even thrash the whole thread? ;)

at a guess I suppose it would be due to the fact VDI's panel isn't cpanel even though it comes from the same evolutionary root. I didn't see the thread but as a mod elsewhere I'd probably consider it highjacking a thread.

It was actually moved to the admin forum (not thrown threads even) for discussion. No thread is deleted.

As it was a thread started by a host, about their product, editing the initial post would not be possible (or rather, it would be possible, but once edited the thread wouldn't have any meaning).

I remove a great deal of threads/posts of commerical/advertising nature and while I don't post explanations on the forum, I do email the member directly. For other members, the explantion is here:

Often threads are moved to the ad forums (without redirects), however some are tossed for various reasons.
