Net2Phone has become reeeeally expensive all of a sudden so I'm thinking of switching over to something else. Who should I go with? I don't mind paying, but it shouldn't cost too much.

Oh and is Dialpad going out of business or something??

I remember the good old days when DialPad was free. You could call USA from any country in the world and talk as much as you liked. Anyways, I think there's a nother service that is called HOT Telephone (www.hottelephone.com), I haven't used them for a long time though, so I can't tell you if they're any good or not.

i've tried dialpad for state-to-state before. it was not a pleasant experience! lots of static and calls dropping etc. always ended up going back to regular phone in frustration....

they do sell these little boxes you can buy at circuit city nowadays, which do something so you can use your pc/headset like a phone. i think they go for about $100-150. maybe you could try those in a pinch... and let us know how it works! :)
