I'm currently with Connective Communications [http://www.CCWebHost.com] and they have a deal I'm on where I get 200 megs with 5 gig transfer for $18.00/mo. and I can split up the webspace with additional domains for $4.00 extra per month for each domain. They also have 24/7 toll-free tech support.

It's a good deal, and most of the time I have no problems.

But, lately my site has been down allot. I subscribe to a service that e-mails me when the site goes down, and tells me how long it was down for. It's been down for as long as 12+ hours.

I'm starting to get some jobs where I host the sites I build, and I don't want to have customers get pissed when they find out their site goes down frequently.

Does anybody know of any similar deals like I have?
I'm seriously considering changing all 4 sites I'm currently hosting to a different host.

Any leads would be greatly appreciated......

There is hostiva.com I seen their stuff, I think I saw you can host that many accounts or more but no setup fee, I believe. I do not recommend them because I do not know them personally, but at least that is what they advertise.

They go under a new name, and well I think they are cheaper with a cool H-Sphere control panel ;)

Yeah, Hostiva.com looked pretty cool.

Does anyone know anything about their ability to actually keep
website up most of the time?

My host says 95.5% uptime, but things haven't been up much
lately. Maybe I should ask for a free month? Or just switch?

Once you switch with them I know for sure they waste $16 on you just for signing up because H-Sphere charges $4 one time fee per account. Well I dunno much about free, heh.

$4 x 4= $16

Just for your information... you can do a search on them in this forum -> Search Result about Hostiva (http://www.webhostingtalk.com/search.php?s=&action=showresults&searchid=154249&sortby=lastpost&sortorder=descending) ;)

Hope this helps!

Well now I do not recommended, well they could always change, but a history that bad, the chances is that he might do it again.
