J. Edge 11-30-2001, 02:12 AM Hi all.......
this is JE and I was wondering, has anyone ever tried BurstNet?
You can reach them at http://www.burst.net
They've been my host for almost a year now. Go to the site and see their offer, you'll love it. :D
netsolutions 11-30-2001, 02:31 AM Almost everybody on this forum has heard of burst.net Do a search and you will get hundreds of posts on them.
Shiekron 11-30-2001, 02:47 AM There is this person from http://www.burst-net.com/ that gave my friend a server for 20/month for 50gig transfer 20gig HD and the rest I do not know.
I just thought I shared that, here is his AIM:condo31
and his phone is 513-253-6150 for the hell of it.

Ohh, you do know how happy I am now, well I just hope you go as far to shut them down ;)
I hate my friend bragging about his cheap server, for some reason I believe it is a lie it is that cheap, too good to be true.
Well Good luck BurstNET and let me know on the updates :) And if it would help you that is his Cell phone number I left ya if you need it ;)

Sean,
Its so ironic you mention that when you have done the very same thing yourself. ie. hostgui.net
You can contact me now to release the domain or turn it over or you can wait to be contacted by an attorney. ICQ #205546, email: admin@jaguarpc.net , phone# 623-977-6785 , AIM: DSJPC
hehe. a lot of testosterone being thrown around here!
< about to start a betting pool
Kylecool 02-07-2002, 01:51 AM Yep, talk about a hypocrite. Burst can duke it but can't take it out. People can't register domains like theirs, but they can registers others? Not cool at all. You totally lost my respect as well as others I believe, and if people ask for a good webhost I will NOT recommend you. ;)

BurstNET 02-07-2002, 05:39 AM You people have obviously not done your research:
BurstNET IS a registered trademark...
hostgui is NOT.
This is not a violation of trademark laws, when no trademark exists for "hostgui"
There isn't even one in the approval progress listed in the US GOV trademark database system.
If there was, we would not have registered the domain name...

So you saw an oppurtunity and pounced.
Maybe the thought of just being "a nice guy" is not an option?
Hell it's just a crappy little domain name do you even need it or really want it, beyond the fact that you know the other dude REALLY wants it? Instead of using it as a chance to garner some good will and maybe gain a few praises (hey guys Burst net let me have the domain even though I haven't gotten a trademark yet, hell old Sean is a pretty decent guy) you've managed to turn it into what I see as a lot of bad press.
I don't care if you give him the stupid domain or not it's the whole attitude you just displayed about "no legal claim" haha ok so he can't take you to court and wrench it from your grasp, enjoy the victory. You've earned it.

Even so, Sean, that's pretty damn hypocritical...

...sigh...
"Sean the Bully"...
I had never thought I would put these words together in a sentence...
:D
Very unprofessional Sean ! What did you hope to gain by this move?
cosmo 02-07-2002, 06:22 AM Don't even sweat it or question it. I've seen Sean's posts on the news groups and forums for years now and he did it, simply because he wanted to. People, for a long time, have posted all sorts of reasons to stay away from Burst, and as another user said in another post, they just assumed it as the common problems, people overreacted (that many times), and whatnot... I.e., nothing intentional. This is but one more example that Burst/Sean does not do (MOST) of these things unintentionally or by mistake or that things happen. This is just an example that clearly rings true of his character and now his ego will not allow him to concede. I've seen him do it a million times. He'd rather lose his falling reputation to everyone here and come off like a a jerk, than simply apologize or try and explain himself. This is the Sean I've come to know and dislike. That comment I just made would usually sound brutal, flamish and harsh and just like a troll to people, but now that they see just a glimpse of how bad it gets with him (believe me, it's MUST WORSE -- and I don't need to and I have never even bothered to try and explain what I mean or why, and I still don't think there's any need!), they will likely understand. Trust that this is not the worst, nor the only incident like this, I am telling you this truthfully, just consider this. Don't expect answers or apologies, unless San gets truly desperate to try and save his reputation for the 500th time... and until next time. I didn't intend to just flame him in this post, but this is ridiculous that once again, he is doing this type of thing in another fashion to another person. I don't think I'll return here again, if people like Sean are welcome to participate and ultimately manipulate new users, with his bitching and whining and to screw people and argue here forevermore. Until that day he's exiled, I'm off...

Anybody else find this amusing that this guy has 5 posts, all from today about BurstNET, and he is threatening to never come around here anymore? Don't you have to be around here first, to threaten to not come around here?
Regardless...you don't have to worry about my posts much on here anymore, as I am not going to be posting on WHT for BurstNET anyways anymore...we have a new Customr Service Manager that started this week, and he will be taking over the "BurstNET" account.
