I have seen that women are smarter than men. Because women have 15% more brain mass. But why don't we see many women running webhost companies then, well HP. I might be wrong on this one, but this statistic must have come from because the people in the lab were all women :confused:

I might be wrong on this one, but this statistic must have come from because the people in the lab were all women :confused: in my opinion, the intelligence levels among men and women are equal. the reason you may see more men in the hosting industry has little to do with intelligence and more to do with culture. most women aren't pushed into the business or technical fields as men are in some areas in the world... in some areas in the world women aren't even allowed to venture into these working fields :eek: given a chance, women are just as qualified to run a hosting business as anyone else.. it just takes the guts to enter such a hugely male dominated industry. again, just my opinion. i'm sure the guys in here and the other ladies might think differently.

As a 20 year old male DPhil student at Oxford, I have no doubt whatsoever that women are smarter. Every time I am around females I find myself doing stupid things, while I have never seen them do anything similarly dense.

Which might explain why I'm still single. :bawling:

Anywho, it's interesting that men really do have 1 track minds. When working on tasks, men only use 1 part of their brain while women use multiple parts...at least now i have an excuss... :D

there are so many i wouldn't know where to start. do you want an answer for current or in history, from the US or from all parts of the world? what field are you interested in to find out more about women who've done something "groundbreaking"? are you interested in finding a woman-Bill Gates? heh.. or any field, not just technology-related?

In my case at least, it's my wife.

For example, when a buddy called last week saying he had an extra ticket to the football game, I actually thought I wanted to go, but my wife corrected me.

- I have passenger/driver heat controls in my new car. My wife adjusts them for the both of us.
- She can do 4-5 really blonde things in a row (no flames - honest) the something absolutely brilliant.
- She knows exactly how much money I can have.

Well you get the idea.

My ninth grade health teacher, who was male, told us that in theory, human females would be smarter, because the brain is fat like or something and human females have a higer body fat percentage than human males.

On average, men have better spatial visualization skills, which is why we make better drivers, pilots, rocket scientists, etc. Women have better language and communications skills. You have to take this as an average though, so there are plenty of women that are better drivers than the average male (although I have yet to meet a man or woman that didn't think they were an above average driver :) ).

So neither is smarter than the other, we just have different sets of skills that we excel at (generally speaking).

This got me reading into my videogame magazines (haha), and I remember they did this study. Females excelled in mind games, things like Tetris, and puzzel games, whilst males excelled in games that need fast decision, like FPS and racing.
