Quick question for Alabanza and VDI/Ultraspeed hosts ..

When you say "Unlimited e-mail Aliases", you are offering the "catch all e-mail" right ? .. now .. is there a way to have several aliases for 1 account widouth using new pop3 accounts with forwarding ?

I know it can be done, from a general server standpoint. I use to do virtual hosting on a box, and I used sendmail's virtusertable.

Yes, can be done, just create 3 aliases and point them to one POP3 account.

Carlos generally, 'unlimited email aliases' just means you can set up as many aliases for each pop as you want (most likely through the control panel). This is different than 'catch-all' which is more of a wildcard which catches all mail for the domain that is not either a pop, or already aliased somewhere else.

On my server my clients can add "Forwards" and they can point it to a local pop account or to an external email address (ie: their pop account with their isp). So you should be able to set up aliases to point to any pop account (local or otherwise).

Like Chicken said, the catch all account basically receives all email that is sent @yourdomain.com that isn't already specified to go somewhere else.

I personally use catch all .. I only have 1 POP, my question was based on a customer request, I told him to use forwarder and he did, I was just wondering for future reference if there would be a different way to do it (aliases)

Yeah, VDI based hosts do have a "forwarders" section of the control panel, but I was told by Alabanza that to avoid unnecessary manual labor I would have to just set up each as a POP account, then forward mail from that account into the desired account.
