I'm looking for a perl script which would automatically setup a POP3 account like postmaster@subdomain.mydomain.com where I'd enter the name for "subdomain" and which would do the necessary entries to the DNS as well. This should be a standard POP3 account (not a forwarder and no SMTP support needed).

Is there anything available out there which would do the job? Would be great to have some kind of maintenance option for already setup accounts as well.

I do not think there is any ready made script that would do the task.
You would have to develop it/get it developed.

some control panel can do it. I've tried with Cpanel & it worked :)
