This questions is directed to all of you isps/ hosts... many of the popular hosting control panels come with shopping carts like Interchange and many of the big hosts offer Miva's light versions but for those of you not using one of these systems (or perhaps even those of you who are), would you ever consider paying for a cart to offer your clients? If so, how would you look to pay? A 1 time license, per user fees? Do you think you would make it optional for users (i.e and extra fee) or try to give it to all users? Any feedback is appreciated, thanks for your time.

my 2 cents:
i would prefer to have a 1 time fee for the software. buy it outright and have unlimited users/installations regardless.
if that does not work, then perhaps a per server 1 time fee. then unlimited users/intallaitons that way.
otherwise it is like alabanza's insane pricing scheme where people are 'nickle & dimed' to death for all the little extras.

We would pay for it, but we have been successfully using Interchange (free) to host e-commerce sites. Interchange is very powerful if you know what you are doing :)

TedS,
Do you mean a license per server or a license per account?
How about for both per server and per isp (total license)?

Per server and per ISP sound good. :D
Can you post the features of the shopping cart?
:D
