I've got great e-mail response time from these guys, but their site has registered less than 40% uptime over the past 5 days. What do you guys say to this?

I'll be getting a dedicated with them, so I'll need some advice on this!

If you want great email service from them and 40% uptime on your website, go for it! :)

Actually, I've never heard of them. I know of a few hosts where the hosts's website will be down, but sites hosted with them will be up. But the 40% uptime would put me off. Did you call them and inquire about the outages? There may be a reasonable explanation.

I think I've heard of these guys. Are they in any way connected with Host Topia?

They replied that it was a temporary outrage caused by their phone company...

Well, 40% uptime is ofcourse totally unacceptable but don't just look at the last 5 days.

Ofcourse they can have had some temporary problem. Don't look at five days. Look at 1-2 months.

If the 2 month average is below 95% uptime I'ld definatly concider moving on.
