I can't even set up my own email, my network needs a tech guy for sure, if you like risk and challenge please contact me. Joe hahamap@aol.com netsolutions 11-28-2001, 07:54 AM Dedicated means your own server monkey junkie 11-28-2001, 09:20 AM my company uses them to host numerous of our clients e-commerce sites. they are cheap, very reliable and have excellent support. AH-Tina 11-28-2001, 09:50 AM You might want to post this in the "requests" forum, so that hosts can make you an offer. You'll also want to include what KIND of sites these 100+ accounts will be. Big? Lots of traffic? Etc. --Tina UmBillyCord 11-28-2001, 12:37 PM Why not just get a $99.00/mo dedicated server at Rachshack.net? You could host 100 sites. (Unless they are resource intensive.) jimb 11-28-2001, 12:41 PM If you go with rackshack, you wont get the system administration that you would need. I suggest going with rackspace.com and purchasing a server that has administration bundled into the package. They had some specials going, like $150.00/month, you could call up the sales line and ask them about those deals. Jim iceishot.com 11-28-2001, 12:46 PM If you want to get an idea of what it will cost to get hosting it's a good idea to specify how much space you need along with bandwidth requirements. If you have a fixed budget, that information is also useful. Brian UmBillyCord 11-28-2001, 01:04 PM If you go with rackshack, you wont get the system administration that you would need. I suggest going with rackspace.com You can never go wrong with Rachspace. But, for the price, Rackshack is good. You get system admin tools with Cobalt and Plesk control panels that will allow you to manage your domains, e-mails, etc.... These come with RS's offer. TimPD 11-28-2001, 04:07 PM You could get a reseller that allow unlimited domains. Also I think this just be in the request form. I will pm you on this cause we can't post about our companies on this forum. jimb 11-28-2001, 08:23 PM Originally posted by UmBillyCord You can never go wrong with Rachspace. Yeah I agree, but if something does go wrong (like a hack or you deleted an important file trying to install something), It could take hours for a RackShack guy to get back to you, then hours for them to fix it, if they do. I would recommend, and have recommended rackspace.com all the way. Best support and pricing. Jim joe c 11-28-2001, 11:05 PM Very appreciate for all your feedback and help. We will check around and find the right solution for us. We hope to let you know soon who and why we choice. Thanks everyone again, take care. Joe |
