View Full Version : Scalable/Affordible UPS? What are you running?

Well so far the Matrix 5000 XR is what we've been buying. They work great personally i would only run one of these per rack full of 1u servers but it's comming the time to upgrade to somthing bigger but not too big. Right now i dont see anything inbetween. It's either Matrix 5000 or a ups that weights more than my car with a 600 pound fat chick in it. Looking for suguestions.

You're approaching the point where you really do need a larger system. At some point it's no longer practical to put larger and larger multiple systems into a datacenter. Look into an enterprise-class system from Powerware, for example. It's expensive but worth it in the long run.

i agree that we should just get us somthing that is going to last us for a while and keep us up even as we grow but unfortunitly their is the need of funds... We've been doing alot needed upgrades around here on the network and well funds need to build back up.

I'll take a look at some of those systems.
