Somebody suggest me to block private messages to get higher security for my Forum. I am wandering is this helpful? I guess this is inconvenient for Users.

I don't do it on any of my forums. Some people are sometimes too embarrassed to ask a public question. Plus depending on your TOS, that might be the only way to offer someone some thing. For example, on this board - you cannot offer to give someone a free anything because it is considered advertising. So you have to PM message them since you cannot direct them over to the Advertising forum to look at you message either.
