Hi,

I have problems with my outgoing mail on my server.

It appears like emails are being sent (no bounce) although they do not get through.

This seems to happen randomly although it ALWAYS happens with AOL address'.

Pweb have looked at the server and say everything is fine, but it isnt. I contacted AOL and they say there should be no problem.

Its getting really annoying as some emails get through and some dont, customers are not getting there account set up emails!!

Cheers.

Also is there any free outgoing mail servers I can route throught until i get to the bottom of this?

Oh yeah......forgot to say.

1) Mail from the root email address (server messages etc.) come through fine.

2) AOL are the most unproffessional, patronising company in the world.

Cheers.

Use the email troubleshooting option in WHM and enter an aol address. It might be a host name problem..... But I do not know how to fix it :)

We have had this problem earlier.
One chap could never send a mail to his boss's aol email address...
I guessthe higher level name servers that your server uses might be point to some other AOL address or there is something wrong with AOL. Because this problem mostly happens with AOL only. I wonder why...

Do you face this problem with other email addresses too or only AOL addresses.

Have a great day :)

My guess would be that it is a name server problem...
It's just a guess. There are so many factors involved that one can't just say anything with the info we have presently...
It would be a good idea to look into the mail logs.

Have a great day :)
