Not too sure where to post this thread, but...

I'm just wondering, what would people do if you had several sites, some large, some small, would you get a dedicated server and host them all at one place, or get hosting accounts with different hosts and spread it across several hosts? (assuming that you know how much bandwidth and that, that each site needs).

Some hosts allow you to have multiple domains and web sites on one account. I would email some to you but your email address isn't showing.

Most people do what they feel like doing and/or what's cost effective. Some people can get multiple site discounts from hosts so if there's one you're specifically interested in, send them a note. Another option is a reseller account. If you have multi-sized sites and wish to go with a reseller account (you don't really HAVE to resell) then I'd go with a host that gives you a chunk of space & bandwidth that you can split up as you wish amongst your sites.

I know that some hosts allow hosting of mutiple domains, but that's not really my point. The reselling idea I already had too... I was actually thinking in terms of uptime, if one host goes down you still have the other hosts who are still up and you'll still be making money, but if one host goes down and all your websties are hosted there, then you dont make anything.

Well if you feel you need to spead them out amongst multiple than do so. As long as it's cost effective to you and you can keep up with all the different systems and sites.
