I have registered a new domain name with lowcostnames but i am hosting my files on my isp's server.

If someone sends me an email to my new domain it is forwarded to my isp email account.

I would like to reply to people with my...@domainname.com suffix at the end instead of through my regular email. is it possible and how would i go about doing this?

Thanks in advance for the help
Andy

You would have to setup a mailbox under your domain. This means you should at least get a emailhost for your domain.

Or if you are using outlook just change the settings to reflect your ...@domainname.com

Looks like i will need somewhere to host it, i can only recieve but cant send emails through the isp because you need to be logged on to their service and im not living at home at the moment.

If anyone a emailhost that can do this that is free that would be great... i only need 1 address to send from

or use your domain registration service provider to forward *@yourdomain.com to your ISP email.

Doesn't lowcostnames have an option for you to get e-mail services? Many registrars offer this for a minimal fee.

He already stated that is what they are doing. No he wants to be able to send from his domain name.

he can send from his domain by setting false outlook account and reply address and out going address set to his domain :)

i do it for many customers who use email forwarding and want to use ISP mailbox to receive them.

He can't do that. Already recommended the outlook fix.

unfortunatly i cant pick up email through outlook, only send them because i am not living at home where my isp is up at the moment and their service doesnt allow it, so any other suggestions would be most helpful.......

Although my dad is doing the same at the moment and hosting off the isp too but the outlook tip worked for him cos he is logging on from the home line...so cheers on his behalf :)

Did you look to see if your registrar had an option for you to get e-mail services?

it only offers an NT hosting plan with 20mb of space and pop 3 emails for £20

Will that do what i need do you think?

Also a bit unrelated but i may as well tag it on this post. If you use url masking from a nameserver does it affect it getting onto search engines?

use some free web-based email and forward ur domain to that web-based email service.

so many lowcost email providers are around :)
