I'm trying to find a decent and *cheap* website host. I've read all twelve pages from this forum and also browsed the promotional forum. I noticed quite a bit of discussion about valuablehost.com about a month or so ago during a troublesome server change, but haven't seen much since. Anyone have any current thoughts to share about valuablehost.com?

Also, any current feedback on 3-95.com, hosting-source.com, or cyberwings.com?

Valuablehost.com was bought out from HostEXP a few weeks ago I believe. They recovered from their server problems and I believe they are stable now, I would ask someone who hosts with them currently but from what I have seen/heard they have recovered from that bad server move.

On their website it says they were bought by Impaq Computer Corp. Anyone heard anything?

Yes, we bought valuablehost.com Apparently they had a bad run of luck. I think every small host runs in to those problems at one time or another. The server has been stable for a few months now from what was passed on to me. And it has been that way since we took over as well. I am busy doing some upgrades on that server in both software and hardware as well.

Yes I am upgrading plesk right now. We have been announcing it now for a few days on our forums.

The worst thing is doing the backup before you do the plesk upgrade. But better to be safe than sorry. :)

I have a site hosted on valuablehost and didn't know they were bought out... hmmm... im on their mailing list, perhaps I missed this vital info?

I can give you some info, during their problem time, my site and many others were offline for a very long time. But once the issue was corrected, the site has been up all the time save for one 3-hour downtime maybe a week or so ago. I don't know if I would fully-recommend them, but will say everybody deserves a second chance... which is what I am doing now, it seems as if they are hustling to get back to respectibility. i'll keep you posted if I run into other issues.

Not quite as cheap or offers as much as valuablehost, but so far, affordablehost has been great... emails for planned maintenance, great support... what one should expect from a host.

After about a month, I will recommend Tina Peters and her crew.

I disagree. Small host who don't plan, yes. A prepared small host - no way.

Good luck getting valuablehost.com back on track. I feel bad for their customers. It is good they have someone who took over instead of the owner just shutting the doors.

2 months since the server movement the server has had minimal to no downtime. I sold VH because i didn't have the time to run it anymore due to some upcoming projects...

Also in time of trouble, many hosts would of shut there doors, but i spent alot of $$ trying to get everything on track ;)
