Hello,

I am not an experienced servlet user but one of my developers created a java servlet system. unfortunately we can't get it to work on an Alabanza. It works great at other hosts.

I have a few questions:
Where is the servlet log located on Alabanza servers?
How can I give init params to the servlet? Using servlet.properties in the home dir does not seem to do anything at all!

I know one Alabanza host just shut off the servlets (our good friends at HostRocket.com ) because they were slamming the server down. [ See the "hostrocket down" thread, page 5, in General Web Hosting ]. I do *not* know if perhaps Alabanza has cut them off elsewhere for the moment.

It's not cut down. It is "active". But my host coolreseller.com has NO idea how it works :o)

Hmm. It looks like you were right and it IS cut down. Any Alabanza hosts here that can confirm/deny this?

Alabanza HAVE NOT shut down servlets. I have just installed Cocoon from the ASF on our server for our clients to use, and it works very well.

Some servlets are known not to run on Alabanza servers, one is JavaServerPages (So they tell us anyway - I have yet to really try it).

The log files will be in /usr/local/jserv/logs
