Just another post for this forum that has nothing to do with webhosting :D

Right...my windows 2000 has reverted all my icons to 16 colours as shown in the attached screen shot. Now Ive checked the usual things like my screen colour depth, show icons using all their colours etc but they are still showing up in 16 colours *sigh*

Any experienced this before and if yes how'd you fix it?

How nice of Windows... I haven't had this before, so you might just reload Win2k over itself, and just don't format....

That's odd, I never saw Linux do that :) I'm really liking it as a workstation now, not only a server..

this happen a month ago and I just reinstalled - im starting to think there must be something causing this.

interestingly enough..it seems to be when i uninstall stardock software!

and Matt, i dont know if you noticed the iso on the desktop ;)

lol, no I didn't - But use it :)

:look: Try re-installing your video card driver.
you can uninstall it via the device manager.

Sometimes a boot into safemode is req'd to totally
wipe any traces of drivers out.

W2k should either redetect your card after booting,
or ask you for install disks.

9 or 10 times takes care of the problem.
