I'm starting a FWP and I would like to have a cheap dedicated server that can handle it.

Anyone have any suggestion?

Trust me do not go cheap on a fwp. it will cost you dearly in the long run. You need to make sure all your software has no security holes either.

Also what do you call cheap?.

the cheapest id settle for going dedicated is $200 from catalog.com depending on their special offers you may get 100gb of bandwidth too.

dont think its easy running a fwp cos it is not.

I agree on this one, do not go cheap. I started a FWP with a celeron 500 w/ 128 ram and hit 3000 users in the first month. The server almost died on me - it defenetly was not fun. Get a server with at least 256 ram I say - probably more.

"Cheap dedicated server" and "starting a FWP" do not belong in the same question. Don't start out by getting the cheapest thing you can get, as it will only cause you and your users misery in the long run (and with FWPs, the long run isn't all that long).

I am a french ignorant... what is FWP?
