never tried them, but some people said they're good, search the forum and read some peopl experiences.

I have a couple domains with them. My only complaint is the site takes forever to load. I would rather pay $2 more just for faster loading. I'm on dialup though, broadband should be fine.

I don't know when they will raise the price but just go there and register. No conditions attached.

I haven't tried any transfers myself. Know what you mean - worst nightmare.

As far as I can tell, there is no catch to transferring out but I'm not positive. That's why I don't want to register too many domains until I'm sure you can transfer without being charged.

I agree that their site loads a little slow. Although they're not the cheapest, I've found at Ipowerweb.com they have domains for $5.50. I haven't tried them, so I can't give anyone a recommendation on how they are. Good luck choosing a domain provider!

myvaluehost.com offers domain at $4/name for the first 10 domains i believe :)

But surly the people who own the domain extension (like .com) charge more then what they sell it for?

they charge $6/domain + ICANN fees for icann accredited, resellers spend more per domain.

its marketing technique get domain people and sell them other services.

Thanks althought they didn't allow paypal for Kuwait yet :P

back to the topic
Jeffreyw i think they do, not sure though, best option is to contact them. Since some people claimed they do require some certain paperwork to transfer out.

I had a bad time with 1and1. I registered a .co.uk name but there would not transfer, after 10 emails I just gave up.
