1and1.com sell domains for $5.99 are they actually any good?

As far as I can tell, there is no catch to transferring out but I'm not positive. Although they're not the cheapest, I've found at Ipowerweb.com they have domains for $5.50. I haven't tried them, so I can't give anyone a recommendation on how they are.
