View Full Version : The late nighters
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 02:01 AM There are approximatley 2 groups in WHT
The first group is the people that are on all day answering as many questions as they can, but not getting to them all because there are so much.
The second group, which I am proud to say I am in goes from 12am to about 8am. This is the time when virtualy no one is on. We do nothing but answer questions and tell stupid jokes. We jump on questions and race to answer them first because there are a lot less being asked around this time.
So you decide, which group do you like better?
Fremont Servers 11-26-2001, 02:04 AM :stickout Second group:stickout
Do you get more money for being in the second group? (Night shift)
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 02:06 AM We should. I hope group 1 realizes how hard we work

I think night shift do less work, but get paid more. :stickout
Group 1 is the suffer group. :bawling:
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 02:17 AM I just don't like it in the day time because more tech questions come up on this form faster than I can answer them.
Fremont Servers 11-26-2001, 02:23 AM I like night shift too.
Sit and read/learn tech stuffs.
You can sleep too. :o
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 02:26 AM Sleep? What's that? Oh, that's that thing you do with after you close your eyes. I remember that. Havn't practiced it much since I got into web hosting.
pcsteve 11-26-2001, 02:42 AM True True. Sleep? ;) On eye open and one closed.
Looks like the graveyard shift keeps everything nice and spiffy for the day crew :)
Good Stuff
Fremont Servers 11-26-2001, 02:53 AM Unless there is only one person at the facility.
If there are 2-3 people work at night, one sleep and one surfs the net or read. :D
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 02:56 AM I think me and Asia do good with WHT at night. There aren't to many active users at night and it seems me and Asia keep the messages flowing.
Fremont Servers 11-26-2001, 03:01 AM :o Zzzz :o
netsolutions 11-26-2001, 03:04 AM Oh oh. Asia broke the sacried code. No sleeping for web hosts :)

Dylan 11-27-2001, 12:47 AM where am I :look:
getweb 11-27-2001, 12:51 AM I usually cover what casinos call the "swing shift", 6pm - 2am. And yes, I hawk over those new posts, tryin' to up that Posts Per Day average. [1.54 PPD]
Speaking of casinos, at least a dealer knows they can play blackjack for 8 hours and always go home richer. I wish the same could be said for web hosting. ;)
