Well thank you Asia. It's just that I see a lot of people doing this and this is a type of advertising. People are saying I may offer this and this is my web site. That is a type of advertising.

It's a good idea. I had that idea but I am still thinking about it since after someone pays for your service year that is $600 minus the XBox $300 that is a total of $200 so people will be getting the service for $16.66 per month. Well that can work...

the amount of diskspace and bandwidth and price you want to offer will only be highered by co=operates or some bussy web master want to do serious business, and as far i can understand them such kind of people look for service rather than such kind of useless offers.

yes these kind of offers will attrackact people towards your company and you may be asked for dinner with bill gates for promoting his consol. ;)

Don't scare your clients. If they discontinue service after 3 months would you give the money back and ask for the gift.
Give them a discount so that you are safe.

Have a great day :)

At some stores, it is upto $599

If you were going to go through with this promo, I would suggest contacting Microsoft and asking to purchase a large quanity so you can get a better price. Purchase like 300 and you could probably get them for pretty cheap.

PS2 is better than XBox, and a lot cheaper too. ;)

Last I seen, PS2's were still around $300.. and they've nowhere near the power of the XBox.

>FREE X-BOX.

Be real. X-Box's aren't free, and you won't find them at cost prices neither. I think you better change that to "included in the inflated price is an X-Box".

No offence but I find this offer flawed. As a web hosting company you will be buying X-BOX's at almost retail prices e.g. $300, perhaps you've found somewhere (as trade) to get them at $250, even so its a lot of money. Now in my opinion you've obviously had to inflate you're prices to accomdate this. You could probably offer the package at $25pm without the XBox. Or even charge a $299 setup fee for the "free" X-Box.

>Prepay one year in advance.
Anyone that prepays one year in advanced for hosting these days must be mad. Any active WHT participant will realise that many good (and bad ones) companies turn sour without much notice, and any observant participant will realise that most of problems revolve around clients trying to reclaim some of the money they prepaid for period like 6 or 12 months.

Perhaps you've been influenced by other hosting companies offering gifts such as free holidays, free mobile phones, free flights, free time-share deals etc... however these companies will be buying them from promotion companies at next to nothing. Of course there value is often next to nothing as well once the terms and conditions have been read.

Any of course, someone could always do a chargeback three months down the line for the FULL amount because you're hosting service isn't upto par, maybe you can no longer supply X amount of bandwidth or you go down a day or something. No pro-rata there, just some guy on the other side of the country laughing at you playing pacman on his X-Box.

Anyways that's my view. :)

Hello,

I think I might be interested, what type of server is this plan on?

Well, if you want to prevent those chargebacks, have them pay by check or money order only.

Can't you add something in TOS or AUP to prevent people from wanting to return an order and just file a chargeback?

Don't think that works ...$16/month for 30GB bandwidth? Not to mention support times.
