I am looking to start a blogging community, but I am having trouble find a script which does this. I am looking into a script simlilar to LiveJournal. Does anyone know a specific script that can do this. Please do not give me hotscripts as I have had a look there and I could not find anything.

The script should have the option to have paid and none paid accounts.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

http://www.livejournal.org (notice the .org and not .com)
That's the site to the DEV and CVS (coding) for livejournal -- you can run a server using the livejournal script (it's an open source script). Keep in mind though, that since it is .cgi, it will take a lot of resources.

Thanks for the fast reply, that is exactly what I was looking for. I had seen somewhere before that livejournal was opensource but I could find no link to where it was. Thanks.

Sorry, but I will strongly disagree there!

What are you looking for then? There's also NLB, though I've never tried it I've heard it is a decent script.
NLB download: http://www.sevengraff.com/list.php?c=nlb

And @ daveman:
I guess I just have bad experiences with blogging and forum .cgi scripts then ;)

Thanks for the suggestions.

I just have one question. For LJ, does it take over the server, or can you have it running in conjunction with other website?

Thanks,

Aaron
