Hello,
I am considering moving from Tera-byte.com to Aletia.com. Should I do this? Should I move?
I've been hearing great things about both companies, but Aletia.com has more features, like:
- domain parking
- multi-hosted domain support
- subdomains
- 10 MySQL databases
- cron job support
Damn, I'm missing all these features right now!!
If you really need the features, then go ahead and move. Aletia.com seems to have a very good reputation with this board.

Yes, I'm with aletia and I they're great. Just when you come make a special request to be on the dolphin or stingray servers, or at least stay away from scorpion and puma. The scorpion and puma servers are currently the *trouble servers*. As a new customer you'll probably endup on eagle though.

Ok, dolphin and stingray servers are good,
scorpion and puma servers are bad.
And is the eagle server good or bad?

Eagle is good, but it doesn't post the same amount of uptime as dolphin or stingray.

My first host was tera-byte.com and second one was aletia.com!! What a coincidence!
Now i have several sites and one of them is still hosted with aletia (eagle). Their support is fast and helpful. As of the uptime...not perfect but ok. I see some downtime but mostly after midnight.
The thing I love about aletia is RICH in features. From domain names to databases you can't ask for more from a shared hosting!

the "excellent" stingray was down after standing for about 3x days. Hope it comes back soon.

Yes, I have to agree on that. I really need the cron job feature.
