Does anyone know anything about www.paradise-designs.net (http://www.paradise-designs.net) ?

I'm currently on their trial, and am considering signing up for them, but I thought I'd accquire a second opinion of the company first. Just to be on the safe side.

I thought that perhaps $19.95 for 1GB space and almost 50GB transfer is perhaps somewhat unbelievable.

I have had many unpleasent past experiences in webhosting companies. So when I sign up for something now, I want to be sure that I am getting quality service.

So any opinions anyone could give me of what they think, wheter or not they have been directly involved with this company, would be greatly appreciated.

Pretty poor response times, and that amount of data transfer for a fee like that is unfeasable, unless they are using Cogent - and the traceroute shows no sign of it...

Your traceroute response times are poor because of your ISP. One hop from your local machine shows response times of 1662ms - Of course the response times down the chain will be just as long.

Anyways, while viewing the host's site, most links were dead. Makes me wonder about their design skills. Though, it makes me laugh that they want to deisgn MY web site..

The host in review is either a reseller or has a dedicated server with OLM. Their secondary DNS server, however, is routing to "hostnoc.net" - which, from what I can tell, has no affiliation with OLM. Makes me wonder what they're doing..

At any rate, it's a fairly new company - the domain was registered in March of this year.. I'd shop around.

True, I must have tracerouted at a particularly bad time for my ISP...

paradise Designs!? I personally don't call that design.....Although I hope they provide better web hosting than they do providing a visual for their site....lol

I wonder how many people work there, if you browse their site you can see that he/they continually switch between 'I' and 'Us'

Our servers are currently at burst.net. If you are getting a poor respond time is because you're on a poor connection. Our server responds at 60-80ms. That is very great ping time compared to some. I know the design needs changed so I'm working on getting that changed. The reason why your getting 66.70.156.111 is cause the dns hasn't changed on your isp to the new ip yes we was currently on olm. 1gig for 19.95 is great. The 50 gigs of bandwidth has changed we offer 10 gigs with that. I have to update the site been busy with others. We offer quality service. not really your design you can leave parts of it
i just wouldnt use png's im 56 and the page took me a minute or more to load

export those to gifs and optimize them and youll cut the size down by at least 75%

ya I need to do that :). I just haven't had a chance. It does make it load a lot faster. We should have a new design up pretty soon.

I would just like to say that i have been with PD for a few days now as a reseller. They seem very good from what i can gather. They have also worked with us designing our website. Don't be fooled by the website. They have very good abilities and support is very, very good!

I made some big mistakes with DNS but Tim managed to help me out and 'hold my hand' the whole way through.

I say keep up the good work guys!

EDIT: I Will post you a link to the site they designed us when we are up and running.

Tim, just a small teeny tiny suggestion. Don't go naming off your customers when they aren't using their name on the forum. If they wished for their name to be known they'd say it. Not saying that in a mean way so just imagine someone in a stuffed cartoon cougar outfit saying it.

Yes the website is going to be redesigned pretty soon. So don't be fooled by it. Also thank you for the comments on our support and our servers. I can't wait to see the site when it is completed :)..
