Don't get me wrong here I don't mined people posting lots of messages trying to build up their message count but the thing I do hate is when the only message people leave is:

:stickout :stickout or something else

I mean if you are leaving a message at least say something and have it count. Asia this isn't directed at you but more at some other people to who have been told about this by other members as well.

I saw some posts with just a dot ".", nothing else.

Thanks!

I'm just running the CVS version of phpBB v2.0. I've done a little bit of tweaking to the default theme, but not much yet.

I'm just trying to build up the community before trying to add the "glitz" :D.

What a great idea.

ffeingol is one of the phpBB developers and you ask him to use vBulletin

:D :D :D :) :) :)

ffeingol:

I have also installed a CVS version of phpBB after I saw yours. You have made it more beautiful by removing upper title and adding a logo with different color.

If you need a moderator for your forums I will be happy to work with you.

Thanks for the offer in moderating. First I need to get a bit more traffic/posts :)

To that end, we'll be running a context in Jan. Stop on over and get going on your chance to win a hat, t-shirt, coffee cup or mousepad.

I am amazed how many people simply believe in newcomer linux/redhat.

What about FreeBSD. I think you are doing the community a dis-service not having a forum for FreeBSD, especially when it is reputed to be one of the most stable os's and is also much more mature.

New Comer?

This is about 7 years that I use Linux.

Or may be it is a new comer to your life?

cyber_cynic,

It was not an oversight or a slight to BSD systems. It's just a matter of access and expertise. Of the group of people we have that monitor the forums, none of them have worked with BSD for a while (I last worked on a BSD system about 7 years ago) or access to a BSD server.

If you have the time/energy to field BSD quesions, send me a PM.

The site is great! Cool color combination. Clean design. Clear forum expectations/descriptions.

I can sense a well-directed vision here. Best of luck!

I've posted a couple of questions here and so far I've been happy with the response.

The postings seem a bit light however, but I understand these things take time to get going.
