I just wanted to clear up a few things regarding this thread: http://www.webhostingtalk.com/showthread.php?threadid=2693
First, what Splesh00 needed was beyond the scope of what I feel any host could/would offer. I may have been wrong, but trying to move 82 domains anywhere for $300 seems like a long shot at best. He didn't mention how much he had for the next month, but I gathered that it *might* not be much considering he only had $300 to start with (no offense to you Splesh).
I took this to be more of an emergency situation than it might have been. Anyway, at $3.67/domain it surely was nice to see a few people like Daniel Pearson (DanielP) and Michael Weinstein (WeinBar) willing to try to help out, even with the small $$$ amount. I do not however, understand Michael's criticism of kosmo for offering to help as well.
Regarding Ed French's (alchiba) comment: "Yes, why not? And since the moderators now appear to be acting as business brokers, let's throw out the rule book and all sense of professional decorum as well. I'm very disappointed."
I'm sorry that Ed French (alchiba) was so disappointed and I didn't mean to come off sounding like I was trying to broker anything. I do talk to some of you on ICQ and by email. WAR happened to mention that he was looking to possibly find someone willing to take over a server he was leasing for around $99/mo for the next three months. Jim Donahew (JimDonahew) suggested a RaQ3. WAR's server is a RaQ3. Can you see why it hit me that these two should talk?
It is very hard for me to recommend one of the hosts here over another as you are all very good. Sometimes I know that one of you offers something that would fit perfectly with what the person needs. If this is the case, I will let the person know.
Anyway, after my post there seemed to be ads more than offers to help, which is why I locked the thread. I may have been wrong in allowing the original offers, but I truly thought they were offers to help this person out by a few of you that post here regularly, and I allowed it. Maybe I screwed up, and if you feel this way, I apologize.
