A simple question... I basically have the ship pointing the right way with the reselling business.

But.... For those who started out, how many registered thier buisness with thier state? (US) Is this necessary for a web based business.

I have seen the fee's for this, and I have read on these boards that folks started up for as low as $200, which would make registration impossible.

Do those who start online business register right away, or do you guys wait until the business is on its feet, or not at all...

Just wondering where I should go myself.

To be honest - if you want to run the business as a legal entity you should register it with your state. You might not need a LLC or inc. but you should at least get a dba (does business as). Those fees should be less than $100. If you cannot even afford that - don't start a business.

The problem is *NOT* money. But I thank you for your insight :)

Mike,

Then what is the problem :)

It is a good thing to register your business, above when you said:

"folks started up for as low as $200, which would make registration impossible. "

It makes it sound like money is a factor.

Agreed Derrick ... I don't know why $200 would make the process impossible, unless it was $$$ which was the problem. *shrug*
